Police warn gun smugglers

Madang Police will take a tough stand against gun smuggling in the remaining months before the election.
PPC Jacob Singura said this on Sunday after police at Tapo Roadblock confiscated a high powered modified gun.
Suspect escaped but the firearm was confiscated. Those who intending to smuggling weapons into Madang will be severely dealt with.
Public are encourage to report any suspected gun dealer or smuggler. His police man are on alert for any person who would attempt to disturb election related activities.
However, he is appealing to the Government to assist police for funds to conduct awareness on saftey of election and its security.
PPC said he expects the Madang NGE to be tight and Challenging this year.
The PPC has pledge police support in this election regardless of the type of budget commited for security in the Province.
